YUDU in the House!!

Once upon a time.......
A coworker of mine brought to my attention creating T-Shirt designs.

Then me and my YUDU lived happily ever after.....

Actually not quite like that. I haven't even opened the box yet. I'm ready but haven't fully committed all that time to the first shirt yet. Or shall Io say I'm not ready to commit all that time.

It all started when "that coworker of mine" was talking to me about that shirt designing business he wanted to start. So on a slow day what did we do.... We YouTubed heat press shirt things and shirt making stuff... Then wallla the YUDU pops up. Yes I heard the firecrackers exploding and saw the bright lights shinning. It must of been fate because YUDU isn't even heat press, it's Screen printing.

After long research and much convincing of my husband I decided to get one.... YAY!!!!

At first I purchase from Walmart.com . Then I found it at Michael's for cheaper and could go get it right away instead of waiting for delivery. Can you guess what I did....
                      Of Course....
I canceled my walmart order and RAN drove to the nearest Michael's store with one in stock and its been in my living room for a day and a half now.... The fun part was getting it in the car. I didn't realize how big the box was going to be.

First I tried the trunk
But that didn't work to well

So I went for the back seat
And that worked just fine..

Nothing was stopping me from taking my YUDU home... Well actually to work since I crammed that drive into a short period of time. But it was worth it.

Now to get it up and running and make some awesome designs....cant wait....OH so excited.. I love new craft stuff. And PROVO CRAFT rocks!!!

Until next time

Late Night Update Post

Almost time for bed....oh wait its 11:44pm I should already be in bed. But I had to just post one blog before the day was gone.

Today was a very somewhat eventful day. It wasn't quite that busy at work but I did have an ok day. I had some coffee before I left and was on the hunt to help get my ETSY shop up and running.

So I made a trip to the post office to get some shipping info so I can charge the correct amount for shipping, insurance, etc. Although it was very confusing as I've never really mailed any packages I think I can the hang of it really fast.

Click Here to view my empty shop. I haven't made it far enough in my newly found business to post any sales yet but I'm working on it. My goal is to first get the major areas up and running before I can actually get a purchase. In doing this I've been reading up on alot of forums and joining some virtual chats to get my questions answered. I am almost done with my policies page still working out those kinks. I still need an avatar for my page....and hmmm maybe a logo...

All these ideas, I'm so excited.

Well for the grand finale of todays blog I can say I have a Esty shop name that I love and it is

ETSY

Wow.....Am I really into these shirt recons or what! Never did I think that
I would enjoy reconstructing shirt so much.
Since my closet is full of clothes already but I cant seem to stop buying and cutting up shirts
I think I'm going to open an

 ETSY

shop and put this hobby to good use.
I also have n mind other items
I may want to sell.

Although I know I haven't posted any more shirts on here
I still have a pile of recons.

Now the fun part will be finding places to advertise my upcoming shop to make it

                              successful...
                                                    hmmmmm....
                                                                            ideas are welcome.

I think I have great name picked out but not quite sure yet....Wish me luck

(Etsy shop running advice greatly appreciated)

T-shirt Recon

Here are 2 more shirts that I've reconstructed and like. Although there are a couple more, I'm not to proud of them. Maybe one day I'll make a post of recons gone bad. But hey the screw ups are how we learn... Trial and Error

What-A-Find

Finally home from The Salvation Army with some awesome deals and wonderful finds. Boy where they packed. Everyone is loving their 1/2 off all clothes on Wednesdays.

I found some great shirts to cut up and revamp. I also came across some cool shelves. A pair of 2 for only $3 (Love it!!!!).

Also while I was wondering their isles I came across two plastic containers that just happen to catch my eye. So I picked them up to explore the inside.

This is what I found.....

3 packs of scrapbook paper and 1 huge pack

About 10 small paper packs

About 30 loose sheets of scrap book paper

All that for only $16.... I couldn't believe it. 1 pack of paper usually runs around $10-$15.

So now I need to make more storage for my scrapbook paper. But I will save that for a later day.

T-Shirt Recon

I know its not Wednesday yet.....

But I had a shirt from my last visit laying around just waiting for me to chop it up....

So....

I chopped it up..

I will still be out tomorrow morning on a hunt for some shirts that will make the CUT!!!

Inspiration

So my inspiration lately has been found on You Tube.

I have been watching some T-shirt Reconstruction videos by Itsblitzzz and Adam Saaks.

So I've decided that tomorrow I'm going to be heading out to The Salvation Army for their 1/2 off all clothes on Wednesday sale. Since I've only tried a few tricks on a couple of shirts and have had  a couple look not so cute. I will be picking up some to attempt to RECONSTRUCT!!!! I have already made a trip out there but missed their super Wednesday deal. But I did learn what type of shirts to not purchase.

Anyways, I will be definitely posting before and afters.

I've already upgraded my scissors to some fabric scissors so that it will be much easier. ( I recommend some good shears, my paper cutting ones where the cause of  a few of my disasters.)

Attempts so far = about 11
Failures so far = about 3

Which means I have about 8 shirts that are wearable before this next trip...2 of which I have worn and been complimented on.
